Gur remains flat in thin trade

Steady conditions prevailed on the wholesale gur (jaggery) market today, as its prices continued to trade in a tight range on restricted buying activity against adequate stocks and settled around previous levels.
Market analysts said adequate stocks following increased arrival from producing region against restricted buying activity mainly kept gur prices steady.
Following were today's quotations in Rs per quintal.
Chakku Rs 2,250-2,300, pedi 2,250-2,300, Dhayya Rs 2,300-2,350 and Shakkar Rs 2,450-2,500.
Muzaffarnagar: Raskat Rs 1,700-1,800, chakku Rs 2,000-2,200 and Khurpa Rs 1,950-2,000.
Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 2,000-2,050 and Dhaya Rs 2,050-2,100.
