The stock hit a high of Rs 995 and a low of Rs 969 on the BSE. Till 0935 hours, a combined 497,802 shares changed hands on the counter on the NSE and BSE.
The board of directors of the information technology company at its meeting held on April 24, 2015, had recommended the issue of bonus shares in the ratio of 1:1 i.e. one equity share for every one equity share held.
The board had also recommended a final dividend of Rs 29.50 per equity share (equivalent to Rs 14.75 per share after 1:1 bonus issue) for the financial year ended March 31, 2015, it added.
The company has fixed June 17, 2015 as record date for the purpose of ascertaining the entitlement of the members for the issue of bonus shares and final dividend. Bonus shares are free shares given to the existing shareholders of a company.
