The Sensex has continued its upward movement and has zoomed up 208 points at 18,179 and the Nifty has gained 62 points and is at 5,464. In sync, the broader markets too has risen. The smallcap and the midcap index is up 1.5% each.
Among the sectoral indices on the BSE, Metal continues to lead at 2.7% closely followed by Realty and Teck.The auto has slumped furthur at 0.2% and is at the bottom of the chart while Capital Goods has gained 0.7%. FMCG too has extended its gains and is at 1.1%.
Reliance Communications up nearly 5% continues to lead the Sensex gainers list followed by Hindalco up 4%, Bharti Airtel and Sterlite adding 3.3%,Tata Steel, Infosys and DLF gaining 2.5%.
Hero Honda down 1.5% followed by HDFC and ONGC are the top losers.
The market breadth is extremely positive. 2208 stocks has advanced while 759 declined.
