The Sensex is now down 107 points at 16,990. The Nifty is down 37 points at 5,069.

The Sensex is still in the negative zone and is now at 17,070, down 27 points.
Among the sectoral indices, bankex index has declined 1.5% to 9,825.
Among the Senex-30 stocks, Hindalco has soared 2.5% to Rs 144. Mahindra & Mahindra, Tata Steel and ITC have added 1.5% each at Rs 1,053, Rs 553 and Rs 252, respectively.
Sun Pharma, Hindustan Unilever and Sterlite are up 1% each.
Reliance Communications has declined 2.5% to Rs 176. ICICI Bank and Tata Motors have slipped 2% each to Rs 833 and Rs 697, respectively.
HDFC Bank, SBI, BHEL and Maruti on the other hand have slipped 1-2% each.
