Markets snap 3-session winning streak

Indian stocks declined, with the benchmark index ending a three-session advance, as lenders and cement makers retreated. Housing Development Finance Corp, the country's largest mortgage lender, and State Bank of India dropped for a second session. ACC tumbled to a three-week low after its second- quarter net income missed estimates, while Prism Cement fell the most in two months. Tata Motors, owner of Jaguar Land Rover, was the worst performer on the BSE Sensex. Vedanta slid 1.6 per cent. The Sensex dropped 43.19 points, or 0.2 per cent, to 28,420.12 at the close in Mumbai. The gauge climbed 2.9 per cent last week as concern eased about Greece's crisis and a collapse in Chinese stocks. The National Stock Exchange's Nifty closed marginally down 6.40 points, or 0.07 per cent, at 8,603.45.
