The markets have turned volatile in the last one-hour of trades, the Sensex at first rallied to a high around 12,300, soon pared gains and has slipped back into the negative zone. The index is now down 94 points at 20,075.
The NSE Nifty is down 24 points at 6053.
Infosys has slipped over 2% to Rs 3,041. Hindalco and Tata Power have dropped 1.5% each to Rs 208 and Rs 1,374, respectively.
DLF, Tata Steel and NTPC are the other prominent losers.
Cipla, however, continues to trade firm with a gain of 2% at Rs 333. Hero Honda, ICICI Bank, ACC and Bharti Airtel are the other significant gainers.
