Maruti Suzuki rebounds post March sales figures
The company has reported 9.5% month-on-month growth in car sales at 119,937 units in March.
Maruti Suzuki India has moved higher by over 2% at Rs 1,310, bouncing back almost 4% from intra-day’s low after reporting 9.5% month-on-month growth in car sales at 119,937 units for the month of March. The country’s largest car manufacturer had sold 109,567 units in February 2013.
“With this, the company closed the fiscal 2012-13 with total sales of 11.71 million units, a growth of 3.3% over previous year,” Maruti Suzuki said in a BSE filing.
Meanwhile, on year-on-year (yoy) basis, the company has reported 4.8% drop in total sales for the month of March 2013 compared to 7.9% yoy fall recorded in previous month.
The stock opened at Rs 1,280 and hit a low of Rs 1,260 on NSE. A combined 455,035 shares have changed hands on the counter so far on NSE and BSE.
