Limited arrivals from producing belts influences prices

Mentha oil prices rose by Rs 6.60 to Rs 1,332 per kg in futures trading today as speculators enlarged their positions, tracking a firm spot market trend on pick up in industrial demand.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in October rose by Rs 6.60, or 0.50%, to Rs 1,332 per kg, with a business turnover of 66 lots.
The September contract moved up by Rs 6.40, or 0.49%, to Rs 1,311.50 per kg, with a business turnover of 213 lots.
Marketmen said pick up in industrial demand against limited arrivals from producing belts pushed up mentha oil prices at futures market.
