MphasiS has dipped 3% to Rs 407 in otherwise firm market after its parent company Hewlett-Packard (HP) cut its guidance for the year 2013.
“Meg Whitman, chief executive of HP warned of an unexpectedly steep earnings slide in 2013, with revenue set to fall in every business division except software,” the Reuters report suggests.
"HP gave a particularly gloomy outlook for enterprise services, its business providing services to corporations and a key component of the company's rescue plan," added report.
The stock opened at Rs 415 and hit a low of Rs 403 on the NSE. A combined 344,211 shares have changed hands on the counter so far on both the exchanges.
