NIIT Q1 posts net loss of Rs 9.4 crore

In this quarter, company recorded a net revenue of Rs 222.2 crore

Education services firm NIIT limited has posted net loss of Rs 9.4 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2013. The company had posted a profit of Rs 11.5 crore in the same period last year.

In this quarter, the company recorded a net revenue of Rs 222.2 crore, marginally down from Rs 227.5 crore posted in same period last fiscal. During the quarter, Corporate Learning Solutions (CLS) recorded net revenues of Rs 84.4 crore, up 16%, year-on-year.

Vijay K Thadani, Chief Executive Officer, NIIT Limited said, "Corporate Learning Solutions recorded fresh order intake of $16.2 Mn, up 26% reflecting a strong customer confidence."
