Panacea Biotec extends rally on launch of new facility

Panacea Biotec has surged 10% to Rs 81, extending its Thursday’s 11% gain, after the company said it is scaling up production of anti-cancer products with the commissioning of its new facility at Baddi in Himachal Pradesh set up at an investment of Rs 55 crore.

“This new manufacturing facility will entail an annual production capacity of around 1.2 million vials, and being set up in compliance with various international regulatory standards," the company said in a filing to the stock exchanges.

Around 20,000 shares have changed hands on the counter so far on the NSE and BSE.
