R Ravimohan On Thursday resigned from the posts of managing director and region head for South and Southeast Asia of Standard & Poor’s (S&P). He also resigned from the chairmanship of Crisil. He was associated with these rating agencies for 15 years.
S&P, which holds 51.4 per cent in Crisil, named Roopa Kudva as the region head for South Asia. Kudva would be part of S&P’s Asia-Pacific Executive Committee, the agency said in a statement. She would continue as the managing director and CEO of Crisil.
Ravimohan, due to leave his present assignments at the end of the month, did not disclose his further plans.
“I have been very happy with S&P. But an opportunity came that I thought was a very good one. It will be in India only and I shall reveal more about it in due course,” he told Business Standard. Crisil would decide on appointing a new chairman in due course, the release said. S&P would announce a new region head for Southeast Asia at a later date, it added.
