The country’s most valuable firm Reliance Industries (RIL) has announced the dates for the second and final call for its Rs 53,124-crore rights issue. The holders of its partly-paid shares will have to pay Rs 628.5 per unit between November 15 and November 29, the company has said in a communication.

The Mukesh Ambani-led promoter group will have to pay over Rs 13,000 crore as part of the final call.

RIL has already collected Rs 628.5 in two equal tranches of Rs 314.25 in May 2020 and May 2021. After the final call is exercised, the partly-paid shares will convert and converge into fully-paid shares. The fully paid shares on Wednesday closed at Rs 2,633 per share, while the partly-paid shares ended at Rs 1,986 per share. The partly paid shares are therefore trading at a slight discount of 0.7 per cent, or Rs 18.5.

The promoter holding in RIL is 50.61 per cent.
