Select spices decline on reduced demand

Copra edible, black pepper, ginger bleached and unbleached prices declined at the spices market here today due to reduced offtake from stockists as well as weak export demand.
Meanwhile, copra Rajapur firmed up on increased demand from retailers and bulk traders. Copra edible Mumbai dropped by Rs 50 per quintal to Rs 5,600 from last Saturday's closing level of Rs 5,650.
Ginger bleached and unbleached both fell by Rs 5 per kilo each to Rs 230 and Rs 245, respectively, as against Rs 235 and Rs 250 and black pepper moved down by Rs 2 per kilo to Rs 201/ 221 from Rs 203/221 previously.
However, copra Rajapur Mumbai rose by Rs 100 per quintal to Rs 6,600 from last weekend's closing level of Rs 6,500.
Rest of the spices closed stable in the absence of buying support.
