Sensex down 350pts; Infosys, Wipro slip 6%

The Sensex is now down 358 points at 9,012.

Jaiprakash Associates has slumped 9% to Rs 64. ICICI Bank and Tata Steel have plunged 8% each to Rs 406 and Rs 197, respectively.

Sterlite has shed 7.5% at Rs 253. Reliance Communications has dropped 6.5% to Rs 173.

DLF has slipped nearly 6% to Rs 199. HDFC Bank, Infosys, Tata Motors and Wipro have declined around 5.7% each to Rs 922, Rs 1,231, Rs 148 and Rs 230, respectively.

TCS has tumbled over 5% to Rs 511. SBI and Hindalco are down 4.5% each at Rs 1,146 and Rs 48, respectively.

Out of 2,372 stocks traded so far, 1,683 have declined, 609 have advanced and the rest are unchanged.
