Sensex down nearly 100pts; L&T slips 2%

The Sensex is now down 88 points at 14,209.

Hindalco is trading at Rs 125, down around 10%, on the back of ex-rights adjustment.

DLF has plunged 3.6% to Rs 461, and Larsen & Toubro has shed 2.4% at Rs 2,515.

Reliance Communications and Reliance Infrastructure have dropped 2% each to Rs 390 and Rs 947, respectively.

ICICI Bank, Reliance and BHEL have slipped over 1.5% each to Rs 638, Rs 2,114 and Rs 1,655, respectively.

HDFC Bank and Mahindra & Mahindra are down over 1% each at Rs 1,218 and Rs 569, respectively.

Bharti Airtel has gained 1.5% at Rs 816.

ACC, Ranbaxy and Tata Motors are up around 1% each at Rs 565, Rs 517 and Rs 427, respectively.

Out of 2,518 stocks traded so far, 1,548 have declined, 867 have advanced and 103 are unchanged.
