Sensex up 65pts in early trades

The Sensex opened 37 points higher at 8,793, and is now up 65 points at 8,822.

Jaiprakash Associates has soared nearly 5% to Rs 74. DLF has surged 4% to Rs 159.

Tata Motors has rallied nearly 3% toi Rs 166. Tata Steel and Mahindra & Mahindra have gained 2.5% each at Rs 171 and Rs 353, respectively.

SBI has advanced 2% to Rs 973, and ICICI Bank has added 1.8% to Rs 314.

Larsen & Toubro and Reliance Communications are up around 1.5% each at Rs 625 and Rs 149, respectively.

Sun Pharma, however, has slipped over 1% to Rs 1,008.
