Silver futures weaken on reduced offtake

Decline in spot market demand kept pressure on silver futures trade

Silver futures for July declined by Rs 59, or 0.11% to Rs 55,350 per kg in 112 lots.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), the May contract eased by Rs 39, or 0.07% to Rs 54,120 per kg in 4526 lots.

Reduced offtake by traders due to decline in spot market demand mainly kept pressure on silver futures trade.
