Steel prices remain flat in thin trade

Steady conditions prevailed in the wholesale steel and iron market today, as prices moved in a narrow range on sluggish demand and settled around previous levels.
Traders said adequate stocks position against subdued demand due to rainy season, kept steel prices around previous levels.
In the saria section, kamdhenu 8-mm, 10-mm, 12-mm and 16-25 mm were down by Rs 200 each to Rs 39,800, Rs 40,500, Rs 39,200 and Rs 37,050 per tonne, respectively.
