TVS Motors climbs after securing a new patent

TVS Motors bagged a patent for technology related to three wheeler engines

Shares of TVS Motor Company are trading at Rs 229, registering a 2.5% gain in the early morning trades on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) after the automobile manufacturer bagged a patent for technology related to three wheeler engines.

The patent office in India awarded the patent, which relates to a cooling system for the rear mounted liquid cooled engine in three wheelers. This technology, which would have opening on one or both side of the body of the vehicle, will help cool off the engine. This invention can be used in new as well as already existing automobiles.  

The stock opened at Rs 225 on the BSE and touched a high of Rs 230.9. At 10:20AM, a combined total of 497,372 shares changed hands on the counter of NSE and BSE.
