The small quantity of washed Arabicas on sale appreciated by Rs 250 at the Indian Coffee Trade Association (ICTA) auction on Thursday owing to concerns of domestic availability.
 
According to the auctioneers, Carritt Moran and Company, Robusta Cherry's and all secondary grades were difficult of sale at current asking prices.
 
The auction saw 355 tonne on offer for sale (last week 340 tonne) and of which only 50 tonne was sold. About 229 tonne of Arabica and 126 tonne of Robusta were on sale at today's auction.
 
Following are the prices quoted for grades in Rs/50kg. Arabica varieties: Arabica Plantation PB Rs 6,257 (6,750 kg), Arabica Plantation MNEB Rs 6,163 (3,750 kg), Arabica Plantation A Rs 6,087 (8,000 kg), Arabica Plantation B Rs 5,450 (2,925 kg), Arabica Plantation C Rs 5,000 (2,500 kg), Arabica Plantation BBB Rs 3,750 (750 kg), Arabica Cherry PB Rs 4,150 (1,500 kg).
 
Arabica Cherry C Rs 3,200 (295 kg), Arabica Cherry BBB Rs 3084 (713 kg). Robusta varieties: Robusta Cherry AA Rs 3,650 (1,475 kg), Robusta Cherry AB Rs 3,350 (1,919 kg), Robusta Cherry C Rs 3,169 (3,104 kg), and Robusta Cherry BBB Rs 3,106 (4,315 kg).
