Smartinvestor : The markets have dropped sharply today weighed down by selling in bank shares amid weakening rupee. What is your call on the Nifty futures for Aug expiry?

Chandan Taparia : Nifty fell down sharply today led by selling across the board. It recovered well in last four days and again tumblled down sharply and volatility is shooting up sharply.

Chandan Taparia : In previous trading session we saw fresh Put writing at 5700 strike and today after the gap down longs were trapped with 5700 Put writers.

Chandan Taparia : Nifty has strong support in between 5500-5550 zone and that is working well from last 10 months. So we would wait for some pause in sell off to generate buy side call in market.

Smartinvestor : SBI is among the most active stocks in the options segment. What strategy can one deploy for Aug options expiry?
