Wheat dara eases on increased supply

In restricted activity, wheat dara prices declined by Rs 5 per quintal in the wholesale grains market of the national capital today on adequate stocks followed by increased arrivals.

Th government's decision to release five million tonnes of grain in the open market amid reduced demand from flour mills also kept wheat dara under pressure.

Wheat dara (for mills) lost Rs 5 at Rs 1,215-1,220 while wheat deshi held steady at Rs 1,725-1,825 per quintal.

Atta chakki delivery followed suit and traded lower by the same margin at Rs 1,220-1,225 per 90 kg.
