Cricket Academy of Pathans (CAP) and OPPO Mobiles have come together to provide scholarship and promote cricket skills to the less privileged kids.

OPPO is donating Rs. 20 lakhs to the academy for the scholarship. Under this scholarship program CAP will provide two years of cricket training to the selected children.

The selected children will get an opportunity to be trained under the guidance of cricket expert and coaches. These scholarships will help in unearthing new talent and give young kids a platform to kick-start their budding cricketing careers.

Trials to select the deserving children were held at Yadu Public School, Noida. 17 children were selected after thorough evaluation process of batting, bowling, and fielding abilities.

Selection of 17 kids was done after the two different rounds of batting, bowling and fielding under the strict supervision of professional coaches. In the 1st round, 50 kids participated out of which 30 students were selected and in the 2nd round, 17 kids out of 30 were selected for the scholarship program.

The selected children will undergo training by professional coaches, who will guide them on enhancing their game along with providing requisite advice on physical fitness, sportsman spirit, and handling game pressure among others. The selected students will be trained at the CAP, Noida campus.

Left-arm bowler Irfan Pathan, who is also the Director of CAP said, "I am delighted to be a part of such unique program to promote and impart cricket, the game which has given us so much, now it's our turn to give back to the society and impart what we have learnt over so many years.
