At least 18 people were killed and 19 other got injured after over 30 vehicles collided due to fog in east China's Anhui Province on Wednesday, the Xinhua reported.
The death toll might increase as nine of those injured are in critical condition.
The accident caused severe traffic congestion for three to four kilometers as several vehicles caught fire.
Over 20 fire fighting trucks were rushed to the spot.
An investigation is underway.
