18 percent voter turnout in WB, 12 percent in Assam till 9 am

The first phase of polling in West Bengal on Monday witnessed 18 percent electorates casting their votes till 9 am. Voting began at 7 a.m. for the first phase of assembly elections in 18 constituencies of the state amid tight security.
Meanwhile, Assam saw 12 percent voter turnout till 9 a.m. The first of the two-phase Assam assembly polls began today at 7 a.m in 65 constituencies.
