31-year-old executed in Pakistan over murder charges

A 31-year-old man has been executed in Sargodha, Pakistan over charges of murdering his neighbour.

According to The Dawn, Ansar Iqbal was arrested 16 years ago along with a friend.

The victim's family said Iqbal killed the neighbour over an argument at a cricket match but Iqbal said police framed him by planting two guns at his house.

The lawyer of the accused said that his client was informed about the execution and that he had been tried as an adult.
