'Super typhoon' Dujuan has killed at least two people and injured over 300 in Taiwan, authorities said.

The typhoon, before reaching Taiwan, swept across the island before reaching land in eastern China, The Guardian reported.

The storm hit the Chinese coastal city of Putian on Tuesday morning, but there were no immediate reports of damage.
