6.2-magnitude quake hits Papua New Guinea

A strong 6.2-magnitude earthquake struck Papua New Guinea in the Admiralty Islands area on Sunday.
The quake struck at a shallow depth of 10 km (six miles), however, there was no tsunami threat, said the Hawaii-based Pacific Tsunami Warning Center.
