The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday said the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) was making false accusations at the Central Government to distract the attention of the people from real issues.

"They are doing this to shield their failures...You (AAP) have raised VAT rates in Delhi, you are spending money in Delhi to benefit your leaders. Now that Delhi's development has stopped, you are accusing Centre for that," BJP's Delhi unit chief Satish Upadhyay told ANI.

"They are trying to mislead people, they are doing all this to distract the attention of the people from real issues," he added.

Delhi Home Minister Satyendra Jain has written to City Police Commissioner B.S. Bassi seeking a detailed report of the Anand Parbat multiple stabbing case.

According to reports, the AAP Government has ordered a magisterial probe into the murder case.

The 19-year-old girl was reportedly stabbed 35 times for resisting a molestation attempt.
