A special Terrorist and Disruptive Activities Act (TADA) court on Monday convicted gangster Abu Salem in the 1995 murder case of Mumbai-based builder Pradeep Jain.

According to reports, Jain was shot dead outside his Juhu bungalow on March 7, 1995, after he allegedly refused to part with his huge property to Salem.

Salem, who is also an accused in the 1993 Mumbai serial blasts case, was extradited from Portugal on November 11, 2005, after a prolonged legal battle.
