Acrobat Nik Wallenda pulled off the death-defying stunt of walking high wire between Chicago skyscrapers, which was aired live on Discovery.
The 35-year-old seventh-generation tightrope artist, who managed to cross steep inclination 50 feet above the frigid Chicago River while facing Chicago's windiest corridors, told People magazine that it was his family and team's constant "pushing" efforts that made him work hard.
The self-described "family man that does what daredevils do," who had trained extensively in his hometown of Sarasota, Florida, has been married for 14 years to Erendira, who too along with his parents Terry and Delilah, is a veteran wire walker.
Wallenda revealed that he had already planned his next big challenge, and would recreate his family's famous seven-person pyramid in their hometown in February, 2015, on the 45th anniversary of his late great-grandfather, Karl Wallenda's biggest walk across Tallulah Gorge in Georgia.
