Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mufti Mohammed Sayeed on Saturday said action will be taken against the people who raised Pakistani flags at Hurriyat hardliner

Syed Ali Shah Geelani's rally in Tral on Friday.

"When we saw flags at Masarat Alam's rally, saw that slogans were raised, we took action immediately. There is a proper video record of that. Now, it is your perception, people are on one side, but some in the periphery raise (Pakistan) flags. They make a name for themselves by doing that. I want to assure you that whoever is at fault, action will be taken. Law will take its own course," said Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister told media persons.

Earlier in the day, leaders from the Bharatiya Janata Party-People's Democratic Party (BJP-PDP) coalition had hit back at Geelani and called for legal action against the latter.

Geelani struck controversy when Pakistani flags were waved at a rally organised in Tral earlier on Friday.

He also demanded that duration of the Hindu pilgrimage 'Amarnath Yatra' be restricted to one month.

This is the second such incident to have taken place in a month. Earlier, Pakistani flags were waved at a rally held by separatist leader Masarat Alam in Srinagar, for which he was arrested later.
