Adidas has said that it will give away footballs to all babies born in Brazil on Tuesday, the day it unveils the ball that will be used at next year's World Cup tournament.
According to USA Today, Adidas said that the give-away is part of a marketing campaign based on the notion that every Brazilian is born with a football by its feet.
The World Cup ball is called Brazuca, an informal word often used to describe national pride in the South American nation, the report said.
Adidas revealed that parents of every baby born on Tuesday would be entitled to redeem a ball next Friday and Saturday at specific locations in all 12 host cities, the report added.
They will need to present the child's birth certificate as proof, the report further said.
