Congress leader Shakeel Ahmed on Monday asked Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi to do his homework before making statements and claimed that people laugh at Modi after his rallies.
"Narendra Modi should do his homework before saying anything. After every rally, people laugh at his lack of knowledge. In Jharkhand, the BJP ruled for nine out of its 13 years in power. There has no Congress government in the state. He credits Chhattisgarh's progress to the BJP but says Jharkhand is backward because of the Congress," Ahmed said
Modi had said on Sunday that Jharkhand is a poor state because of the Congress.
On BJP leader Nitin Gadkari's allegation about a deal being brokered by an industrialist between the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the Congress, Ahmed said, "Gadkari is the master of deals. He was removed as BJP president due to his various 'deals' only. He forgets this and makes allegations against others. There is no point in making unfounded allegations. If there has been a deal, then he should come out with the evidence. Now, no one, even in his party, takes him seriously."
On the AAP's awaited announcement on free water, Ahmed said, ""The AAP Government in Delhi is an experiment of democracy. Let's just give them some time and wait. We are waiting for their decision on the water problem. All the good work done by the AAP for Delhi is welcomed by the Congress.
