A major accident between an Air India plane and an Indigo plane was averted at the Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport on Friday due to the alertness of Air Traffic Control (ATC) officials.
Air India flight AI 156 from Delhi to Goa with 119 passengers including three infants was scheduled to take off at 10.30 a.m. on Friday. But, ATC officials noticed that 6E 398 Indigo flight from Ranchi to New Delhi was landed on the same runway and they immediately stopped the Air India flight.
An inquiry is underway at the time of reporting the matter. More details are awaited.
The Air India flight left for Goa at at 12.50 p.m.
