President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of MasterCard, Ajay Banga, called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the latter's official 7, Race Course Road (RCR) residence here on Monday.
Banga, who is the also the chairman of US-India Business Council (USIBC), had earlier met Prime Minister Modi in September last year during his visit to the United States.
Beginning his business career with Nestle in 1981, Banga spent the next 13 years working in jobs spanning sales, marketing and general management. He later joined PepsiCo and was involved in the launch of its international fast food franchises in India as the economy liberalized.
Banga, who also has a keen interest in social development issues, is a regular speaker at various fintech and leadership conferences.
