The New York Police Department is happy and relieved that Alec Baldwin is planning to move to a gated community in Los Angeles.

Sources revealed that the police officials found it a "pain in the ass to deal with him" and clean up his mess and were unsure if he's sincere in showing respect to them, but added that its "good riddance", the New York Post reported.

Sources added that the 55-year-old American actor has a "weird, almost-paranoid personality" and knows "how to play the game with the cops and not piss them off".

Baldwin had recently told New York Magazine that he is soured on the city because he and his family don't have any privacy and was planning to shift out.
