Pakistan tainted fast-bowler Mohammad Amir has said that the opportunity to play in the upcoming Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) is a major milestone in his quest to return to international cricket.

Expressing his happiness, Amir said that he felt glad to play alongside some of the top players in the prestigious tournament, PakPassion.net reported.

Accepting the challenge, the 23-year-old said that he would try his best to justify the responsibility placed on him and bring trophy for his country.

The left-hander became eligible to represent his country after serving time in prison and five-year ban from cricket for his role spot-fixing in the infamous 2010 Lord's spot-fixing scandal.

Besides, former captain Salman Butt and Mohammad Asif had also faced an identical ban.

Amir took 51 wickets in 14 Tests and 25 in 15 one-day internationals before he was handed a five-year ban for bowling deliberate no-balls by pre-arrangement during the fourth test against England at Lord's.

The BPL 2015 which is a T20 tournament including six teams will be played from November 22 at the Dhaka.
