Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday declared the year of 2017 as e-pragati year.
Addressing the second day of the Collectors' Conference here, Naidu said that all districts must come under the purview of the flagship programme that will help the government make real-time governance.
"We have declared 2017 as e-pragati year. That would be taken to the ground-level. All districts must come under the purview of real time governance. If any college students are trained on e-pragati, the program can be taken to basic level," he added.
The Chief Minister also inaugurated the Andhra Pradesh Sports Policy 2017.
Talking about corruption, Naidu said that his government was trying to eliminate corruption with the help of Land hub, cloud hub.
On "Parishkara Vedika", a call center that has been set up to hear and redress the grievances of the public, Naidu said any complaints would be resolved quickly
"Be hard in handling corruption, don't hesitate. Technology can be of good help in fighting corruption. Technology can also be used to balance development and welfare. At the end of the day, public satisfaction should be your target. Don't hesitate to punish the wrong doers. Then only the system falls in line. Action should be taken on those who don't work properly. At the same time, the best performers will be encouraged," he added.
Naidu said that the land acquisition policy will be followed to overcome the problem of availability of lands for urban house construction project.
"If mines are there in the urban areas, the mines department should take part in the development of such municipalities. Based on the land availability, multi-storeyed housing complexes be built depending upon the need," he added.
He further said that an economic city should be made ready in Chittoor district in lines with Jakkampudi Jet City.
There 'd be no slums in the urban areas. This year every municipality should develop and beautify at least one slum. We are setting up the AP Greenery and Landscape Corporation, in order to develop greenery all over.
