Anil Singh, who has been appointed Additional Solicitor General of India (Western Zone), today said he was thankful to the central government for his appointment.
Singh said, "I thank the central government for appointing me the additional solicitor general of India. This responsibility has been given to me, and I feel proud that they trusted my calibre. I will try my best to fulfill my duty. I am in the central government panel and I have fought against the government as well many a time."
"I will request the Government advocates to be prepared completely. I will co-ordinate with the government. I have thought that whatever case I will get, according to my capacity I will work. I will work hard for my country. This is a challenge for me," he added.
Singh takes over the post from Kevic Setalvad, the former additional solicitor general.
