'Pitch Perfect 3' has been slated for a July 2017 release, with Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson reprising their roles.
According to Us magazine, Universal Pictures confirmed the news in a press release that the third installment of the movie-musical franchise film would open two years from now on July 21st, with several key cast and crew members returning.
Also, 'Pitch Perfect 2' helmer Elizabeth Banks will be producing the series, though it's not sure if she'll take the director's chair again.
Kendrick had shared an Instagram photo of herself holding up three fingers and winking, writing "Happening."
A source said that scribe of the first two films, Kay Cannon, is penning this one too but the storyline is not yet disclosed.
'Pitch Perfect 2' had made highest ever movie-musical opening, grossing 69.2 dollars million last month.
