'Grey's Anatomy' is trying to fill the void Patrick Dempsey's departure created with Martin Henderson.

According to Deadline.com, the 40-year-old actor has been cast as a new regular on the ABC medical drama, which is heading into its 12th season.

Though details regarding his role are yet to be revealed, it is assumed that the 'Off the Map' star will fill the shoes of a new surgeon at Seattle Grace.

In addition to recruiting Henderson, the show has also made Jason George a series regular for season 12.
