Veteran Bollywood actor Anupam Kher on Sunday received Parmod Mahajan Smriti Award in Pune.
Speaking at the event, the veteran actor, who was recently appointed as Chairman of Film and Television Institute of India, said: "Being awarded along with Saira Banu, who is UN ambassador for HeforShe, was a very big thing. I would like to bow in front of her."
The actor further said: "There is nothing special in me that I would have bagged this award. Till my graduation, I never scored more than 38 per cent marks. Never. For me, scoring 38 per cent was a big deal. I was not even good in sports. But today, if I am standing here, then I must have done something good.
