Apple iPad sales plunge, Android remains dominant in Q1

Apple's iPad sales have reportedly gone down as Android retained its dominance over the tablet market.

According to News 24, Android has captured the market with nearly 66 percent share in tablet market in Q1, up from its last year's 53 percent.

Meanwhile Apple iPad's share in tablet market has dropped to nearly 28.4 percent from its last year's 40.3 percent.

However, globally the tablet market enjoys a jump of 19 percent with nearly 57.6 million units sold.

Apple sales account for 25.6 million units, whereas Android stands tall by selling nearly 38 million units.
