Off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin, who was injured in the first ODI against South Africa at Kanpur, is close to fitness and looking forward to the series ahead.
Speaking about his presence in the Test series, Ashwin said he is confident that he would bowl well in the upcoming matches.
Ashwin also expressed his views on India's performance in the ODIs against South Africa, saying the young side is relatively inexperienced and, therefore, there is a need to give them some time.
The 29-year-old further said his side was aware of the fact that it would be a hard fought series against South Africa.
India has lost the ODI series against the visitors following their shocking 214-run defeat in the fifth match in Mumbai.
The two sides will now play four-match Test series, starting from November 5 in Mohali.
