Assam Chief Minister Sarwanand Sonowal on Wednesday visited flood affected Kaziranga National Park.
The Chief Minister also visited flood relief camp set up at Bokakhat and interacted with camp inmates.
Along with the Chief Minister, Agriculture Minister of Assam, Atul Bora was also visited the relief camp.
"The government has taken necessary steps for the protection of wildlife in Kaziranga. In the next few days, we will have to build more high lanes. This is the time to supply food to people who are living near high lanes and I have commanded an order regarding this," Sonowal said.
Meanwhile, Bora demanded the Centre to declare Assam's flood and erosion as national calamities.
