Assam, Nagaland CMs to today hold meeting at Kaziranga

In a goodwill gesture, Chief Minister of Assam Sarbananda Sonowal and his Nagaland counterpart TR Zeliang will today hold a meeting at Kaziranga.

Assam Home Commissioner LS Changsan has said that several ministers, Parliamentary Secretaries, Chief Secretary, DGPs from both the states will participate in the meeting.

She said that the meeting will be a part of initiative to bolster friendship between the two states. Both the states have had long pending border dispute.

Changsan said that in coming days, such meetings are also expected to be held with other states of the north east. Both the Chief Ministers will also issue a joint statement after the meeting.
