Atletico Madrid are set to go up against Barcelona in the La Liga title decider after boss Diego Simeone's side got held by a 1-1 draw at home to Malaga where as Gerardo Martino's side drew 0-0 at Elche on Sunday.
Atletico will now have to wait until next weekend to know if they would be crowned La Liga title winners after 18 years.
Atletico, who currently top the La Liga table with 89 points followed by Barca at 86, would have been declared the Spanish title winners if they had won the clash against Malaga, reports The Guardian.
Meanwhile, Barca draw at Elche means that they would have to beat Simeone's squad next weekend to be crowned La Liga winners.
Moreover Real Madrid's 2-0 loss at Celta Vigo has shattered their Spanish title hopes as they dropped five points behind their city rivals Atletico with a game left in hand, the report added.
