New Real Madrid player Gareth Bale has reportedly denied reports of a rift between him and the club's reigning star Cristiano Ronaldo ahead of his possible debut for the Spanish giants.
Bale was rumoured to have angered Ronaldo by replacing him as the world's most expensive player, following his 85 million-pound summer switch from Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur.
According to Metro.co.uk, however, Bale dismissed the reports, saying that the Portuguese superstar is helping him settle at Real, adding that he and Ronaldo are enjoying a 'blossoming relationship'.
Stating that it was amazing to meet Ronaldo, Bale said that the former Manchester United star is a 'nice guy' and made him feel welcome just like everybody else did, adding that he is looking forward to getting on the pitch and doing well.
Bale is in contention to make his Madrid debut this weekend when newly promoted Villarreal host Carlo Ancelotti's side at the Madrigal Stadium.
